Droplet's software video service suite is compatible with all major device operating systems (WindowsMobile, Linux, BREW, Symbian) and Java middleware platforms, and includes application modules for:
- Video capture, playback
- Video messaging, sharing, streaming
- Automated video editing, content authoring and delivery
- Many-to-many voice/video-over-IP, push-to-video instant messaging
Droplet also provides application programming interfaces (APIs) to 3rd party content providers and advertisers, enabling them to further monetize their media assets via integration with user-generated video. Open APIs allow Droplet and the company's partners to pursue a variety of attractive advertising models that can subsidize service costs and provide new sources of revenue.
Droplet delivers high-quality video capture and playback, video editing and sharing, and video communications functionality, via all-software client or browser applications, to a much wider range of lower-cost, higher-volume device platforms than is otherwise commercially feasible.
